No matter what your goals and aspirations are, how you spend your time, better yet, how you invest your time, is going to make all the difference in the world.
I see people constantly making excuses about how they “don’t have time.” It’s BS! We’re all given the same 24 hours in a day, but what are you doing with them? Why is it that some people find the time daily for mind, body, spirit, family time, & still put in their GRIND, yet others work 40 hours a week and complain that they don’t have enough “personal time” or enough “balance?”
You’ve got to 1-8-7 your 1-6-8! There are 168 hours in a week. Let’s say you get the recommended 8 hours of sleep a night (If you’re healthy, you can easily function on less too). That’s 56 hours. We’ve got 112 hours left.
When you ask most people what the most important thing in their life is, they’ll likely say family. Let’s say you need a weekly date night with your spouse, we’ll say 4 hours. Maybe it’s important that you have another day out with your kids, 4 more hours. Let’s say that the other five days that week, you make sure to sit down and break bread with your family for an hour. Altogether that’s 13 hours in a week. 99 left.
An hour work out a day, 92 hours left. An hour of reading and enriching your mind, 85 hours left. An hour to shower and have breakfast each morning, 78 hours left. Let’s say you spend an hour a day on growing spiritually, 71 hours left.
We’ve covered all the bases. Sleep, family time, mind, body, spirit, and we’re sitting on 71 hours. How the heck can someone say “I don’t have time” on their 40 hour work week!?!? This is what separates average from greatness.
The greats maximize their time. They schedule everything. They know what needs done, when it needs done, and they do it, no excuses! You wanna level up in life? You’ve gotta 187 your 168!
