Count money, man.
Count money, man.
Stacked riches.
I'm trying to told him, I'm a beast bug.
With Sub-Gang, welcome back to another episode of The Grindcast.
Get ready.
It's a new day.
And I wanted to grab a couple quotes that I saw this past week from.
I just shared it with some of our team last week.
But it was Layla Hermosi, which is Alex Hermosi's wife.
And I think as a couple, they built.
They started out, I think, building gyms.
And they blew up to being super successful at that and then getting into business and
scaling businesses and mentoring other people, motivating other people.
And so, you know, I think a lot of times, man, men struggle with studying or giving their
flowers to sometimes, I think, the ladies.
Like they only look at other men that are doing big things and draw inspiration or draw
things.
But I think as a man, I think you go to another level when you have enough humility
and wisdom to know that you can learn and grow and be motivated by anybody, especially
ladies.
And so, this young lady has just been spitting some fire out there.
And I'm like, man, I feel like some of this stuff needs to be shared with people.
I'm getting value from it.
I'm sharing the value from it with my team.
My mom's will share it with you.
So, there was a couple of things that I wanted to pull out that we could talk on that she
was talking about.
And a couple of quotes that I got from her and one of them in no order was every successful
person that you admire has survived a season that you didn't see.
Every successful person you admire has survived a season that you didn't see.
So I think a lot of times you get into whatever your craft is, whoever's listening out there,
I want you to think about, all right, what is my mission?
What is my craft?
If you have a mission yet, maybe you don't have a mission yet, but you're on the right
track if you don't, if you're listening to this, because you're pouring into yourself.
And that pouring into your mind is only going to elevate you and open your mind and open
up your doors and opportunity for you when you're doing things like that with self-awareness.
And specific plan of action to put time in to grow yourself.
But whatever journey you get on and whoever you look up to in that field whether it's
a doctor, an athlete, or musician, or a fighter, whatever it is, whoever's the people
that you look up to, these people have survived a season or two or a few that you didn't
see.
Now, keyword is survive.
Now, you know you don't need to survive things that are easy when you think, oh, man,
I'm glad I survived.
These people are survivors.
Because they overcame something hard.
There was some struggle there.
So every, every successful person that you're looking at, man, they look at these people
on TV or on YouTube or on Instagram or whatever it is that got these successful things going
on over there.
If they've been around long enough, man, there's seasons that they've won and made it through
or fell and got knocked down and got back up that you didn't see.
So we got to be encouraged by that and understand that on our journey, there's going to be moments
where we got to survive things that the outside world ain't going to see.
Nobody knows what we're going through other than ourselves.
Maybe a couple of people, but people don't know what we're really going through.
And so when you admire where a person's at, I want you to also admire their grit and
determination and find out some of the things that they have gone through that you can
remind yourself what you can go through if you want to take it to that next level.
Next thing was that success takes longer than you expect.
Then happens faster than you can imagine.
You hear people say, oh man, it only took me 15 years to be an overnight success.
It only took me six months to be an overnight success.
It only took me 20 years, 10 years to be an overnight success.
It takes longer typically than you expect.
It's like building a house.
Oh man, I've been a part of the building process of things and houses and real estate probably
more times than I would like to have been.
And man, I tell you, it's always more expensive.
I never got to end of a build in a construction project and it was like, man, this was way
cheaper and I thought I was going to be never.
It's always more.
It's always longer than I thought.
Then we thought that they said whatever is not success takes longer than you expect.
But then it happens faster than you can imagine.
So what does that mean?
Well, it means that the days are long and the years are short, that it seems like it's
taken forever.
You've been working so hard.
You've been working so much.
You work so many weekends.
You work so many nights.
You work so many and how long you've been doing that three years?
All right.
So maybe in that fourth year, boom, it just takes off for you.
That's fast, man.
To flip your whole life around in three years, that's amazing.
It happens faster than people can imagine.
But it takes longer than you expect, right?
And so that's why you got to embrace the journey.
You got to embrace the process because you never know what that tipping point is going
to be.
The boiling point, right, is it water boils at 212 or 213?
There's one degree.
You know, where nothing happens in the water.
Don't quote me.
I think it's 212 and then it starts burning boiling at 213.
I don't know what there's one degree of separation there.
And so no matter what it is, let's say it's 212 for just this example.
Okay, maybe it ain't.
Let's say it's 212.
Nothing's happening.
It's just hot water.
Turn it up a notch, give it a little bit of time.
Boom, we're at all of a sudden the water's bubbling.
It's fast, but it really didn't happen that fast.
There was all these other things going.
It was getting hot for a while.
You just saw, boom, you just saw the outcome.
Like, oh man, all of a sudden, all these things, all these years of work, all this stuff
happens and then you win a game, you win two games, you make a couple of big plays, you
win a fight too, whatever it is, you make a good, but you have a good business year.
And it's like, here we go.
Start it from the bottom.
Now we're here.
We're in here.
You know, we had Micah on recently, right?
Micah earned in the Marine veteran.
He was talking about how he ran the marathon.
Was a normal dude.
Crawled his way to the finish line, Boston, marathon.
By the time he got up and at it, his phone's blowing up.
He's on Good Morning America.
He's on the Today show.
He's in New York City.
He's on ESPN.
overnight, so fast.
But how long of a journey was that to get that overnight success?
How the rebuilding of himself, of his emotions, of his life, what he's went through, what he's
gone through, all that, okay?
So be patient and enjoy the process and control the things that you can control and just be
ready for your time.
That's why I say when you stay ready, you don't got to get ready.
Next when every unsuccessful person, I know believes the world is against them, right?
So we all know people like this.
If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all.
It's always happening to me.
Oh, look at this again.
Of course, it's me.
There's black cloud.
Every unsuccessful person believes that the world is against them, everybody's against
me.
Every successful person I know understands that life doesn't fight fair and learns to
play anyway.
So something bad happens.
All right.
I didn't deserve that.
But what you're going to do now, what's your response?
Because we can't always control the things that are out of our control that aren't fair,
that happen to us.
The only thing that we own that we can control is our response.
Your character, how you respond is going to dictate your outcome to the things that
happen to you.
So we could let life happen to us.
We could let these things happen to us and get kicked so many times.
This happened unfair and unfair that you give up on life.
You start blaming everybody, right?
With the negative frequency and vibration that we went over.
Right?
So the negative vibration starts because look at poor me.
Again, this happened.
That happened instead of saying, what is God trying to teach me here?
I know there's a positive thing coming out the outside.
What can I do now?
What does this make possible for me?
Yeah, this was a setback.
I broke my ankle.
But now what does this make possible for me?
Well, I get to read more.
I get to spend more time with my family.
I get to do this or I get to do that.
What does this make possible?
What does this make possible?
How can I control the situation and spin it around as a positive?
That's how the successful people function.
So you got to decide which one you're going to be on.
Next one.
You can't skip leg day.
I mean, you can't skip the struggle if you want the story.
You can't skip the struggle if you want the story.
Everybody wants the story.
Nobody wants the struggle.
Like, oh, man, tell me your story.
Is it your story worth?
Like if we're watching a movie and you're the main person in the movie,
we all get our popcorn out.
Are you expecting to sell this thing out?
Because everything that you want it happened perfectly.
You didn't have to fight nothing.
You didn't have to get up.
You didn't have to overcome no odds.
You didn't have to overcome no demons.
But you woke up and said, this is what I want.
You went out.
Everything positive happened.
And it was over with, right there.
Or are we going to sell this thing out like Rocky?
He gets knocked down all these times.
The keeps coming on back, keeps coming back.
Nobody thought he was going to win, right?
That's it.
Oh, man, what a movie.
People that struggle, people that survive things in life.
And so if you want the story, if you want the Hall of Fame story,
you want to best sell it, you want to be around forever,
you want to be timeless, you want this story.
OK.
Part of that story is, how do you respond
from the negativity things that happen on the come up?
Because the struggle is what's going to grow you.
And when you let the struggle break you,
then you don't reach your destiny.
And you, for damn sure, don't make a very interesting story.
Like nobody's cheering and saying, hey, man, how did you get?
Hey, I wanted to interview you.
How did you become so successful?
And hey, let me tell you guys how I became so successful.
This happened in my life and all these hard things.
And when that happened, I just quit.
And now I'm here before you.
That don't, you don't hear that?
You don't get to skip the struggle if you want the story.
And so just, we got to embrace the struggle.
Nobody's looking.
We don't want the struggle.
But this is where you just got to have faith in the process
because sometimes the struggle, when you're
in the middle of the struggle, you don't
understand that it's exactly what you needed,
exactly what the doctor ordered, exactly what
was necessary for you to go to the next level.
No different than when you're benching.
When you're strength training, sorry,
folks out there that maybe don't understand this part,
I'll do my best, OK?
When you're bench pressing, a lot of weight
and you're trying to move up to the next level of weight
on the way down, there's something
called negatives that you could do.
And there's a certain level of training
you could do where you add more weight
than you could actually do because it just drops on you.
But you need somebody to help you get it up a little bit.
And then it ends up starting to build more strength.
Just like building muscle, you got to break yourself down,
feed yourself the right things, and your muscle grows back.
Same thing.
In life, sometimes you get broken down.
When you get broken down, you feed yourself
the right things.
Prayer, spirit, mental books, audiobooks, podcast,
good people, good things that you're speaking out
of your mouth, thinking the right thoughts.
I'm feeding myself.
And I build back stronger than ever before.
And I look back and say thank you for those times
because without you out of never would have built these muscles
this big.
I never would have built this business this big.
I never would have built this story this big, whatever it was
because of those things.
And so let's just stop trying to skip the struggle when
you're in a middle of the struggle.
Look at it differently because this is your time to shine.
And the last one, extraordinary results in public
are the result of extraordinary suffering in private.
Oh man, you guys done yet?
You ready to say forget this?
I don't want no success.
I just want the jet.
I just want the yacht.
I just want the roly.
I just want the house.
I just want the cars, the dog, the land, the acres, the wife,
the husband, the house, the jewelry.
I don't want all that.
I just want the, I don't want the suffering.
Extra ordinary results in public are the result of extraordinary.
Extra or it said with me, extra ordinary means
unordinary beyond normal suffering in private.
Then all of a sudden in the public eye, man,
hey, congratulations.
You hit 10, three pointers in a row.
That man or woman suffered in private and shot so many shots
and skipped so many birthdays, so many parties, so many fun things
shooting by themselves in the gym, making all these sacrifices
to now, boom, it's public, it's show time.
We won a national championship.
Oh, can I have your autograph?
And oh, man, I want to be like you.
No, you don't.
You don't want to be shooting in the gym by yourself missing parties
and you want to go to the parties.
You want to have all summer to have fun.
You don't want to, you don't want to work the weekends.
You want the results, but you don't want to work the weekends.
That's suffering.
You don't want to work the evenings.
That's suffering.
You don't want to deal with the hate and the negativity
and the scrutiny of the public eye suffering.
You don't want to carry all that stuff.
You just want the public wins.
I want to win.
I want to have success.
I want to be in the eye.
But it's all the private, the private suffering
and struggling and building yourself up and failing
and all that.
That's what brings you to the winning in public.
And so what are you doing out there in the dark?
That's going to get you the extraordinary results
that you're looking for in public.
What are you doing?
Can you put yourself sometimes its own purpose?
Sometimes it's not on purpose.
Could you purposely put yourself in some extraordinary suffering
moments in private so I can be ready to go when it's in public,
like conditioning yourself?
I'm going through so much conditioning.
Let's say you're going through conditioning as an athlete.
I'm going to condition the heck out of myself.
I'm going to suffer.
But in public, man, I got a gas.
I got fuel.
I could keep going.
I got a gas tank.
I could keep nobody sees what we were doing in the dark.
Nobody sees you were up at four o'clock in the morning doing that.
Nobody sees that you had to skip everything
a night and go to bed when everybody else was having fun.
It's painful.
It's suffering.
Nobody wants to see that stuff.
They just want the extraordinary results in public.
And so I'm hoping that you guys can find the encouragement
in this that I did and find the encouragement in this
to maybe inspire other people with some of these things.
But I definitely thought it was some value.
And I don't have no problems sharing and using some of the stuff
because it was from a young lady boss.
And I think that you guys can grab some value in it.
So let's maybe apply some of these things.
Some of this mindset, this upcoming week.
If anything on here helped you at all,
you found any value in this.
Could you do me a favor 30 seconds?
It takes probably max to hit the share button.
Like, share, pass the message on to other people
so we can make a difference in impact some other people out here.
I appreciate you guys.
We appreciate you as always.
Thank you guys for joining us on another episode of the Grindcast.
Get ready.
It's a new day.
