Hey, everyone, this is Peter T.
And this is Walking in Power.
Another day I was thinking about this thought.
I had ever met someone who's just really bad at just giving, they have an internal compass
that is just way off, that they always get turned around, they feel like, you know, they
say like, oh, we gotta go this way, it's like non-saxial opposite way.
They just don't seem to have that ability to know which way is which or the terrible directions.
You know, there's people in life, a spiritual, I feel like that, you know, we can all fall
into that category.
There's times where we feel like, man, I know exactly where I'm at, because maybe you
feel very comfortable with your surroundings in the same way someone would living in their
own hometown.
Or maybe you're someone who says, well, I just punch in GPS and it tells where I need to go.
And wherever you might be in that type of space, I think there's this understanding that
the only way that in this life we can navigate, all that we have to navigate, is simply
through the Word of God and relationship with Jesus.
We often get into the place of a fecua, you know, I get by or I know what I need or I
talk to this person, I talk to that person, those are great things.
But if you really look at your life, maybe through the highs and lows, what has really
navigated you?
Sometimes we rely on ourselves, sometimes we rely on the generosity of other people.
But I think mostly we really need to rely on God.
There's times where he will show his grace through people.
There's times where he will show his mercy through people around us or people who have
wisdom.
But those, you know, all people are creating an image of God.
And I think we all have gifts and talents and we recognize those come from God and not
just we're just so talented, so amazing.
But I think when we understand that the slight that God has given us, that we can go through
these moments of challenges or great moments.
It's important that we always acknowledge God in what's next, where we are and what's
next.
Sometimes we see a lot of people who have great success and they don't really understand
how to process that in their everyday life.
And they feel like, well, if this little bit of success is good, then even more success
is good.
And I think we have things like that that can turn us around and get us just kind of our
internal compass off.
And we have to be really aware of that in this life.
But Charles Spurge has said this, he said, beware of the person on the inside of you
because essentially that could be only your greatest enemy.
And if we aren't careful who's on the inside of us, right, there's without Jesus and
who are we, myself included.
We feel like I'm good and close enough with God or close enough with Jesus.
But there has been more than that.
More than just saying, like we're cool.
More than just saying, like why go to church.
There has to be this element that God is guiding your life.
He is guiding your steps.
He's helping direct you to where you need to go.
You know, I think about many times of my life where I felt overwhelmed or I felt like,
God, where are you in challenging moments?
And we've all been there or we will all experience it.
I always have to say, God, I don't live this faith just because I feel like I've done
everything right.
This is what's owed to me.
And this is how I want to be owed to me.
But I live this life saying, God, you're faithful.
And even if this moment, I don't feel like it turned out the way I wanted it to turn
out.
Or I don't feel like I received what I wanted to receive.
Help me to remain pure in my intentions and my motives in this life.
Because like I was saying before, sometimes when we have these external things that, well,
this happened to me or has great level of success or these external things begin to mess
with our internal compass that God has placed on the inside of us.
What people can either get defined.
If I were this is what it is, this is who I am and this is what I'm going for.
I think if we pull back from all things and say, Lord, what are you speaking to me?
How are you helping me to grow?
How are you developing my faith?
What are you asking me to do in this life?
Because I know what I'm in that place.
I will feel the most fulfilled.
It's not saying it'll be the easiest.
It's not saying it'll be the most profitable.
It's not saying all these things.
But when you are where God has you to be, your heart of hearts will be the most fulfilled.
So I want to encourage you with that today throughout this week asking yourself, man,
as my internal compass, how is it?
Where am I going in this life?
Am I going right and what is guiding me?
Always remember this, there's nothing better in this life than when you read the Word of God
when you are seeking Him.
He will meet you right where you are.
Not in the most traditional way as you think.
That when you want it right now, but in the perfect timing.
That's something that's so hard to grasp.
The same way we talked about your internal compass and getting in places and where you need
to go.
Sometimes you just feel comfortable.
I know exactly where I'm going.
Every side street, every back road, some of you just get into my side.
I want to put a GPS and it'll take me where I need to go.
There's something about those things that are great.
But when it's comfort, when it's just saying, I'm just going to rely on the GPS.
But there's something also about knowing your heart of heart where you're going.
I think that's a beautiful thing that in this life that you don't rely on external things
get you where you're going.
You don't rely on being comfortable to know what you're doing.
But you live in a way that says, God, wherever you're taking me, I'm not afraid to ask questions
along the way.
I'm not afraid to study beforehand.
Look at a roadmap saying, this is probably the best route of this, what should you do.
But to say, Lord, let me seek you and what you have for me in this life.
And I think when you do those things, God begins to transform you, transform your heart,
transform your mind, transform everything about you.
So you can be the most fulfilled in this life.
And blessings too.
Well, that's why I pray real quick for I get off this teaching here.
But I pray that you're all doing well and that you take a moment to reflect even after
this video.
And just lean to what God's speaking to you.
Sit in the silence for a moment.
Five minutes, when we said timer, five minutes just sit there and just say, Lord, what are
you speaking to me?
And listen, write down what he says.
Put it in your phone, put your notebook, put it in your bag, wherever.
But I think it's a good practice to do daily if not weekly.
And I think it'll help you grow.
It'll help you lean into what God is speaking to you.
Father, I thank you for everyone who's watching this video.
Or me, help them grow.
Or me, help them develop what you've called them to be.
Lord, the moments where it feels like things are just chaotic or they're not sure where
to go or their internal composure seems off.
Or help guide them to where they need to be or what they need to be doing.
Or we just thank you for your grace to us and your love towards us that allows us to
become who you've called us to be.
We thank you, Jesus, and I want to even pray.
Amen.
Hey, thanks for your watching and I will see you guys next time.
