Hey everyone and welcome to another walking and power and I want to talk today about casting
your problems or your worries or cares or anxieties on Jesus.
No matter who you are, no matter where you are in life, there's times where you have
different things that are challenges or obstacles for you.
Sometimes it's external things that are coming against you, impression against you or sometimes
it's things even internally that maybe you should be processing or thinking through or
destroying with.
But the Bible tells us, it's very clear, that we must take our problems or worries and
give them to Jesus which is hard for anybody.
When things are going wrong, when things are going sideways, you just feel like, God, where
are you?
I need your help.
God is there for you and God is there to walk you through.
I think one of the misconceptions that people can have about walking in faith with Jesus
is that you never have problems.
You never have issues or if they do arise, they're quickly removed from your path.
But that's not what the Christian faith outlines all throughout scriptures.
There's times where things have rose against many women of God, but they have definitely
had to rely upon God to get them through.
They had to rely upon their own strength, their own wisdom or knowledge, but they really
had to turn and say, Jesus, without you, I don't know if I can make this through.
I don't know the path forward.
It looks impossible.
It looks difficult.
But Jesus, his word tells that he is a present, help and time of need.
I want to just give you this verse.
The first pH of the 5 verse 7 says, casting all your care upon him because he cares about
you.
I think that's a great thought for us to have today, that we have to understand that even
in the middle of moments where it feels difficult because I got them laying miles away.
That's right there with you.
Not only is he here with you just to watch you go through different circumstances, but
he cares about you.
He cares about your growth.
He cares about who you're becoming in him.
I think one of those things with your mind ourselves, even in the tough moments that God
cares about you, and he wants to walk with you.
Like I said, it's not saying God removes every obstacle from your way or things aren't
hard, things aren't difficult, or maybe things don't even go the way that you're hoping
they would go.
Learning to trust God in every moment and in every season develops a faith inside of
you that encourages and inspires the people behind you, the people next to you, and I think
that's admirable in this life.
When I think about our cares and our challenges that we have, Peter, when he wrote this, there
wasn't this distinguishing fact between big problems and little problems.
I think we can often feel like, well, this is a little problem.
I'll hand this, God, you hand the big stuff.
But I think when we get into the practice of saying, God, this is a little need in my life.
Maybe something small and insignificant.
Because if I want to bother God with that, you'll pray about that.
I want to pray about the big things.
But I think God who views them in the same life, say, what do you need?
How can I help you in your life?
Or how can I help you in the middle of what's going on in your life?
And I want to just encourage you today that maybe there's things in your life going on
that you feel like I don't have answers for.
This is difficult.
It's a random dose to God and pray.
It doesn't have anything special or amazing or having the right words, but just to be able
to be open and honest with God as you pray as you say, Lord, I need your help.
I don't have the answers.
I know people are looking to me for answers.
Or I feel like people are counting on me.
The best thing that we can do is keep our eyes on Jesus, keeping him close to us, not
feeling like, well, I'll figure this out.
Then I ask God just to bless whatever I decide.
What be someone who says, Lord, I'm taking this all to you.
And I think when we're able to do that, they carry to great faith, builder in us.
And so I like to say like this, I think there's three things I would do to three T's.
The first thing is when you have these problems in your life or just cares, what things
I just worry about, maybe not issues with you with people you care and love about
the end, it's worrying, it's causing anxiety, it's causing those things.
It's one ticket to prayer.
Always take what you have to prayer.
So please, I would say if every believer, when you pray, God begins to shift your heart,
he begins to shift your mind.
He hears your requests, he hears your heart's cry.
Always go to prayer.
Before you try all the other things and other things are good, take it to prayer.
I believe Holy Spirit will guide you for what you need to do.
The next thing that the next move, the next moment, and sometimes it's moment to moment
that the Lord will lead you and guide you, but you have to know His voice, you have
to know when He's leading you.
So please take everything in prayer to Christ, big and the small.
The second thing is, you know, talk about it.
We pray, but then also have people in your space that are people that you trust.
Right?
I always tell people, you can't talk to everyone about everything because there's people
who can really shed light in their situation, there's people who can make you feel you
just worse about your situation.
But you need people who are for you who are able to help us speak encouragement in truth,
you know, and truth.
And so, both can exist in a conversation, right?
You don't need the person who is just, oh man, this is terrible, I can't believe you did
this or I can't believe this is going on, but they could say, yeah, that's difficult.
But, you know, man, let me encourage you as you move forward.
Let me encourage you, you need those Godly people around you.
Who are those people?
Can you think of a one or two or three people that you feel like, man, when I'm in jam,
I'm going through something difficult, right?
And some of them to pray with me.
This is the person I call.
This is the person I go to.
And I can't think of those people I encourage you to identify those people to really,
you're even let that person know saying, hey, I want you to be this person in my life that
could be a sounding board.
Someone who could really bring clarity and bring me back to true North when I feel like
my world's spinning out of control or spinning out of chaos.
So finally, let's be by identifying those people in your life.
And so, like I said, take your time to prayer, talk about it.
But that's the other part is to get the turn away from things that are causing you stress
or anxiety or finding ways to walk through those.
If you always just kind of do what you've always done, the joy is going to get what you've
always got.
So be mindful that if there's things that trigger you, there's
things that make it difficult to function or feel like you're getting close to God, turn
away from those things.
That's hard.
That's never easy, but you have to be able to do it.
We could think about some common example of our natural body.
Our natural body, right?
We sometimes say, I want to get healthy.
I want to get fit.
Right?
There's an element of working out and doing things like that going to the gym and all that,
but you also have to turn away from certain things.
Maybe that is turning away from certain foods you eat that you love to eat because if
both try to coexist, you're going to be filling up your bucket with a hole in it.
But what you want to do is make this decision, but also turning away from these decisions.
So when you bring these problems to God, you talk to people.
You have to make this decision for yourself to turn away from certain things or not productive
of where you want to go.
So I believe Jesus helps us with that.
Jesus is gracious to us to help us get to where we want to go.
So please take everything in prayer to God that He would help you guide you, lead you,
instruct you and be hope to you.
So before you end this, I felt the length of prayer today for you watching this video that
you would feel encouraged, that you would feel uplifted for anything you have going on
in your life.
So let's just pray.
Father, I thank you for everyone who's watching this video.
I pray blessed upon them.
Lord in the middle of any situation, any care that they're carrying.
I pray that right now they'd be in a pray wherever they are and they would just surrender
to you.
Or the big end of the small and not things that they can handle.
But Lord, they say, Lord, I put it all in your hands.
And Lord, you will take care of it.
And I will keep my eyes on you.
You will point me where to go and have what to do.
So Father, I pray blessed upon everyone watching this video.
We'll be with them as they go about their week in your own name.
Amen.
Thank you guys and I'll see you next week.
