Prayers Answered
Show notes
Before praying for new blessings, ask yourself what prayers have already been answered. Are you still as grateful today as you would’ve been when you were praying for them? Are you praying for the discipline and wisdom to keep them?

Count money, man.
Count money, man.
Stacked riches.
I'm trying to told him I'm a beast, but...
With some gang, welcome back to another episode of The Grindcast.
Get ready.
It's a new day.
We're going to talk about answer prayers.
What do you pray for currently right now?
It's easy to pray for success, opportunities, blessings, you know, all these things.
But the real challenge, I think, begins after you start to receive them.
Because, you know, once you receive those things that you were once praying for, sometimes in my experience, you can forget about who helped get you there.
The prayers that you said to help get you to that moment, all of a sudden.
So, without discipline, it seems like success can just disappear.
And without wisdom, opportunities often times end up wasted.
So, true growth comes from learning to protect the things that you already have in a sense.
And that's where we're going to need the discipline to keep the things that we prayed for.
And so, right now, think about, man, what are the things that you've prayed for in the past that you've got?
Are you still as grateful as you would have been when you were praying for those things to happen, if they happen in that moment?
And so, a lot of times we could take for granted the answered prayers that we already have.
So, let's just take a peek at things that were maybe missing an opportunity to be more grateful for, that we prayed for, that we're walking in the fruition of currently right now.
And then the things that we got right now more recent, that maybe are things that we would have prayed for.
Let's just look at ourself and ask ourself for, we bring in the best discipline to this situation that we can so we can keep it.
Because discipline matters.
Daily habits are going to decide whether that success that you got right now is going to last.
How sad is it to watch people that blow up and make it and then lose it all due to a lack of discipline?
Now, I think the real challenge starts after you got the breakthrough.
Keeping it, growing it, taking it to the next level, protecting it.
You know, what are things you could do to keep it protected, grow it once you get some of these answered prayers?
Because money without discipline vanishes and disappears. Opportunities without bringing wisdom to those opportunities that you've been given, those often get wasted.
So the success that you're probably looking for isn't about receiving.
A lot of times it's about managing what you've already been given.
Because, you know, if we can trust you with a little bit, we can trust you with a lot.
If God could trust you with a little bit, I could trust you with a lot.
If I can't trust you with a little bit, how can I trust you with a lot?
Are you grateful with a little bit that I've given you already?
So a lot of times what can happen is people pray for a blessing and they forget to continue to pray for the responsibility that comes with that blessing.
You know, a lot of times, you know, we talk, we talk about becoming the person on the journey, not just having getting something, but becoming the person that would be eligible to receive and keep something like that.
That's what we got to focus on.
It's becoming the level of person that it's not about how much success you have.
It's not about how much money that you get.
It's applying the discipline levels at that level to keep it, maintain it, take it to the next level.
And that starts with gratitude, being grateful for what you already got.
Don't get to praying for your next five things after we just gave you five things and you forgot to say thank you or show that you can manage these things properly and not waste those things.
You know, if God's looking down and saying, man, can I trust her with more people?
Can I trust him with more people?
How are you doing with the things that you've already been given?
After getting what you already prayed for, we got to pray for the discipline to keep it and the wisdom to multiply it.
I think wisdom, praying for wisdom, this is what you can do in your younger years.
If there's any young ones listening in their 20s, I'll remember folks saying, man, you're wise beyond your years.
Don't we all want to be wiser, wise beyond our years?
And so I think you can pray for wisdom.
And the wisdom that you receive is going to decide whether this blessing that you got currently right now turns into more blessings
or is it going to stay right there or the blessing, the talent, the blessing that you've been given is going to be taken from you.
And so what is it that you're currently praying for?
Believe in it.
Think when you pray, you got to have the faith enough to give it.
Let go. Do your part on a daily basis of what can I control today?
I'm going to throw this one up. I'm going to pray about this in faith that if it was for me, it'll be given for me at the right time when the Lord knows that I'm prepared for this.
This is what I'll be blessed with.
In the meantime, it's my job to become the person to learn the lessons, to work on it on a daily basis.
In faith, knowing that it's coming my way, I think you've got to have faith.
You know, they say faith without works is dead.
I think it ain't enough to just work and not have faith. It ain't enough to just have faith and not work.
You've got to have faith. But then you've got to work on a daily basis to turn some of these things into a reality.
And then once you get them, what process can you hit pause for yourself on?
How can you pause the moment for a second and reflect enough to say,
man, before I go praying for all these other things, have I shown enough gratitude for the gifts and the blessings that I've already been given?
Have I been a great steward with the gifts and the blessings that I've already been given?
And I think that's something for us to pay attention, you know, for.
How many of your prayers have already been answered? How we doing in that department with showing gratitude?
How are we doing with being a good steward with the things that we've already been given before we ask for more?
And then what's next? What are you praying for?
Next. Are you forgetting to pray for what it is? You know, that you want.
So pray in faith for the things that you want with the right heart and then go to work on a daily basis,
knowing that it's going to come your direction. If, in fact, it was meant for you,
and if it don't come your direction, it's going to be something better coming in your direction with that faith that was even better than what you even thought about.
But you got to be walking in that spirit of faith. And so my wish for you today is that you walk in a spirit of faith,
that you pray for the things that you want, and that you're asking for.
But you also look backwards and say, have I been a good steward and am I currently being a good steward?
If I'm walking in the blessings of things that I used to pray for currently right now, am I giving of myself?
Have I shown that I've been a good steward with this, with the way that I act, the way that I treat people, the way that I give,
the way that I manage my resources? Because having that level of discipline in all these areas of life is what's going to allow you to keep it, maintain it, and multiply it.
And so I know if you're in here listening, that's something that you want to do. You want to take it to the next level, you want to multiply everything that you've been given.
And so that's my wish and prayer for all of you.
So thank you for, as always, this is a little quick shot of espresso.
Hopefully today or this morning, nothing too long, but just give these things some thought.
And as always, know that we're grateful for you.
You could have spent that time anywhere, chose to spend it with us.
Hopefully added some value. We appreciate you and we'll look forward to spending some time with you next time on the Growncast. Let's get it.
