Count money, man.
Money, man.
Stacked riches.
I'm trying to talk, trying to talk to my mom and bees.
What's up, gang?
Welcome back to another episode of The Grindcast.
Get ready.
It's a new day and a real difference maker isn't motivation.
It's consistency.
Big dreams.
Big dreams with small, daily execution is what's going to separate the winners from the
average.
The truth is, most entrepreneurs quit too early.
And once you stay consistent for 10, 20 years plus, those are the type of people that
become legends.
It's anybody could do something and get hot for six months and get hot for a year.
But it's like, man, once the reality sets in, once the honeymoon stage is over, once
you get injured, once somebody backstabs you, once it gets a little bit difficult, once
you got to overpay for a whole year and not get back to where you even were six, 12,
18, 24 months ago, just to keep, that's when we start to separate from one another.
And I think the real critical key, if you want to build a big business and it's not just
yourself, is I think building big businesses is really about building people.
I think so often people get focused on building businesses that they don't realize it's really
just building people.
The people build the business, you just got to keep building people and trying to build
with the right people.
Your true leverage is leadership, culture, and developing other people until they outgrow
their old self.
Like, who was that person 24 months ago?
Who was that person 36 months ago?
We start to upgrade our talent.
We start to upgrade our people and by upgrading the individuals, they upgrade the business
and the business starts to grow and it starts to multiply.
The formula would look like, you know, it would look like this.
Great people, and then you create, those great people create great culture, and that great
culture continues to evolve and create greatness.
And that greatness happens over and over and over again if you just keep building great
people.
And that in the process of doing these things every once in a while, you're going to have,
oh, setback, everything's going great.
Setback, obstacle, everything's going great, going great, going great, setback, obstacle,
surprise, negativity, something happens.
Your mindset has to be, this is happening for me, not to me.
Big difference mindset shift of, oh, man, why is this happening to me versus this is a
little bit painful right now, but thank you.
I know this is only going to make us better.
I'm grateful that this is happening for me.
Thank you for this.
I think, you know, when I start to look at like some of the traits of the greats, speaking
specifically about, you know, people that are an entrepreneurial, you know, type businesses,
I think one of the number one traits that you'll find across great entrepreneurs is that
they just, they don't focus on excuses.
They just lock in on solutions.
What's the solution?
Not even like what's the problem?
That's cool, but we got to find a solution.
We can find all kinds of excuses, but the winners find the solutions.
And so you figure it out no matter what the constraint is or the obstacle is, whether
it's time or money or talent or setbacks or failure, we just figure it out.
And I think the key to that is because markets and people and environments, all these things
are going to change.
It's the person that adapts and evolves.
That's ultimately going to be the one that's going to win.
Long term vision plus needed daily disciplines is what's going to create what you want
to create.
That long term vision, but the daily action steps and the daily action plans.
The so I was just going through today.
And this is, you know, probably nothing new for, you know, some of you listeners out there,
but, you know, in my office, I got a white grease board.
And we put it up 12 months ago.
And we're going right into the brand new year.
And I wrote down short term goals, like something I wanted to accomplish that year and then
something I wanted to accomplish within 24 months.
And then I wrote down the process that's going to lead to it.
I broke it all the way down into something that I could focus on on a weekly basis.
And so that's what I would suggest for you to do is like, all right, what's my long term
vision?
Where do I want to be three years, five years out?
Where do I want to be down the road?
And then what's my short term target?
What I want to accomplish in 2026?
What I want to accomplish in the first quarter?
And then how do I break that thing down into what do I need to do for the month?
How do I break that down into really what do I need to do by week?
And then really all you need to lock in on is the day.
Is what actions do I need to take today?
Is the only way to affect your vision is the stack daily wins.
The only way I can impact tomorrow is by winning the day.
If I play like crap today, if I put in crap effort today, how's tomorrow going to be
any better?
The only way tomorrow is going to be better is if I'm doing what I need to do today.
And I think it could get exciting thinking about what you're going to do five years
from today, but it's not as exciting to go out there and do the work right now.
Because when you look at the vision, the vision really is the outcome of where we're going
to be.
And the outcome is pretty.
And the outcome is sweet.
And the outcome comes with all these perks.
But then the daily output to create that outcome instead of coming with the perks and
only comes with the price.
And so if you want to create that long-term vision that comes with the perks, we got
to rewind it and start with the same ambition to do the daily disciplines with the short-term
price that's going to take you to where you want to be with the long-term vision.
The real difference maker isn't motivation.
The real difference maker is consistency.
Because you ain't going to be motivated all the time.
If 365 days a year, if there's 12 months in a year, if there's 30 days in a month, not
every single day, am I going to feel my best?
I may have a heartbreak.
I may have a setback.
I may have a cold.
I may have something happen to somebody in my family.
There might be some bad news that came down.
I might not always be feeling my best.
I might not always be in the right circumstances.
I might not always feel like doing what I need to do inside.
And that's why you need to act yourself into feeling because you're not always going to
be able to feel yourself into acting.
You're not always going to be motivated.
And that's why it's the discipline over motivation.
It's the consistency over motivation because one of my greatest mentors, one of his favorite
things is that the test of greatness, if you want to be greatness, is the difference maker.
The test of greatness and the hallmark of excellence is consistency.
And what is consistency?
Consistency is to keep on doing it over and over and over and over and over and over
and over again.
And when you're in a process of doing it over and over and over again, it could get monotonous.
It could get boring.
I'm bored with this.
I'm not having fun anymore.
This isn't as much fun or this is monotonous.
That's where the greatness is at.
That's where the money is in the monotony.
The greatness is in the consistency.
The greatness is in the daily disciplines to do this stuff when it ain't all about fun
with one eye on the vision that I'm going to make today.
My masterpiece, I'm going to be great today and then tomorrow I'm going to be great.
I'm going to focus on.
It's stuck as many wins where you could go to bed and say, I won today.
With my attitude and my effort and my consistency into the process today, I won.
That's how you affect three years from today.
That's how you affect 12 months from today.
So let's just remember out there the difference maker ain't going to be that motivation.
Although I love to motivate.
I love to get motivated.
I love to motivate other people, but it really is going to boil down to, can you be consistent?
Speaking of consistent, there's anybody out there that we can impact.
Do me a favor and share this message with somebody.
It only takes you 10, 20 seconds to share it with somebody that we can make a difference
with.
And I just want to thank all of you out there that are consistently sending us messages,
consistently listening to the podcast.
Just know that you're appreciated.
And we're here for you and we appreciate all the time and energy and effort that you
pour into investing time into us.
So have a blessed day.
Have a blessed week.
Let's go out there and win.
As always, thanks for joining us on another episode of the Grandcasts.
Get ready.
