Transcript
Count money, man, money that grits is fine.
Trying told trying told him on the beast.
But what's up gang?
Welcome to the grind cast.
There is here.
Get ready to get some new day.
What's up gang?
Welcome to another episode of the grind cast.
Get ready.
It's a new day.
We got big perm.
What's up dog?
And if that wasn't enough big enough for you,
we got big lawn in the house.
We got to do big lawn in the house.
What's going on?
I'm going to spend something to be here.
My dog is not only is he this big, but he can move too.
So he trains in martial arts and in Jiu-Jitsu and Moitai
and all that stuff.
And can move that 340, 30 pound body or whatever
he's working with over there.
And he's an entrepreneur.
He started his own company.
And he branched out the Jiu-Jitsu into like a business
where he runs tournaments in Vegas called the High Rollers.
And he'll tell you a little bit about that.
And then also one other fun fact that maybe we'll add
that people may not know about you.
They think, perm is my bodyguard.
I just so happen to have a big friend that I grew up with.
And we roll together.
So I get a two for one.
But you are somebody's bodyguard, I think.
It's actually the same thing.
It's the second ball.
There's a check-in ball.
Literally the same thing.
But yeah.
You know what I mean?
We write a check.
You're like, oh, you need a title.
So put it by the guy.
That's what he's going to do.
There he goes.
He's being it.
That'll work for you.
So tell us a little bit about your background.
I know you're from Pittsburgh.
We're at in Pittsburgh.
And give me a little bit about your background.
You upbringing.
Yeah, from a small area called Hazelwood.
That's like a crazy big area of neighborhood and whatever.
But a super cool tight neck community.
You know what I mean?
Low, low, I really want to put a side of town on it,
because I don't really know who to call it.
South Central East or what.
I'm not sure.
So it's just right there.
Yeah.
But you know, I'm not from originally Pittsburgh.
I'm from Youngstown.
Yeah, not.
But what people say, Youngstown, you know, you kind of can imagine
if you've been there or if you've heard about it,
it got a certain stigma on it.
And so Hazelwood, you know, here in Pittsburgh,
I haven't been there a ton of times, you know,
because I ain't from here.
Right.
You know, I'm only I'm in Stowe Rocks a little bit
because of the kids and stuff.
But I haven't made my way around the city.
I don't know what it's like.
So I've heard that is also a place that, you know,
it's also good tight knit.
So it's Youngstown great place.
But also there's a lot of crime.
Oh, yeah, you know, I thought we was keeping it clean.
We could talk about that side.
That's real, man.
Yeah, yeah.
No, that's real.
Well, Hazelwood, South East.
You know, I'm saying that.
That happens in other places in the wrong time of day,
you know what I'm saying?
But like in any other places,
as long as you move with respect,
and you know what I'm saying, you move it correctly.
And everything's cool usually.
It's just, it's a real like no nonsense.
So when you can sense a lot of people there can sense
like that phony fakeness type of thing.
And it's like a trigger.
You know what I mean?
It's like when you have a bunch of predators
and then you limp one time.
Yes.
You know what I mean?
Come on.
Let's eat.
You know what I'm saying?
Truth.
Truth.
You could feel that.
And if you if you run with the wolves the right way then.
You know what I mean?
You in the pack.
No doubt.
No doubt.
That's a good way of putting it without saying too much.
Truth, man.
It says a lot about you because you know my, I don't know.
You football fan or not, but we got a friend close friend
of my Maurice Claret in from Youngstown Play the House.
Right.
You know all of that.
And you know has bounced back.
Crazy after going to prison.
You know for five years.
And me and him have had the conversation of it's like man the transition coming from high
school to college living in in Youngstown.
You know he's from the south side of Youngstown.
It's like man we started talking it's like imagine the jungle and then you take a lion out
of the jungle where if he wasn't acting that way in the jungle he would have got killed.
So you have to walk a certain way if you live in the jungle.
So then you take that lion out and then you just put him in a zoo where like anybody could
pet him.
You just put him around normal people.
What do you think is going to end up happening?
It takes time for that to change in it's rare.
And it's you know people don't understand.
But that's another thing that's that's amazing.
You know to see is when people come from that environment then they're able to branch out
and do other things and other environments is super special.
So that's one of the things that you represent that I just impress with.
I don't know.
I appreciate it.
I love dog.
Family background a little bit about your upbringing and family I know you got kids.
Family background here we go.
Alright so family background is wildly complicated.
Crazy long story we'll do that another time but I was brought up and I was born in Pittsburgh
and left for a little while moved down to Alabama and stayed there for some years.
Man you guys talk about different I mean different completely.
Completely.
Day and night not in a good way.
Really not cool.
You know what I mean.
Oh yeah.
You that melanin and that man.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Whoa change.
You know what I mean.
How long were you there?
About four.
Ten years.
I was there.
I got that.
I got that.
I got that.
I got that.
Perfect.
I had a conversation.
I think I was supposed to come to a podcast and I lost my cousin who was down there.
Yeah.
And that's why I ended up going down there whatever.
Yeah.
So that just made me.
It made me kind of be able to see things for what they are.
Like you know what I mean because down there it's not a lot of you know what I mean like
that day.
They say, hey boy, you like whoa, old one man.
Right, right.
I mean, he like, what you mean?
What's going on?
What you doing around these parts, you like, oh shit.
Oh, you know what I mean?
You have a lot of all shit moments down there.
Oh man, versus now when I came up here,
like hey man, nice, never thought of you.
Oh, this is cool, this is cool.
But then it was still a little bit different.
But it was like that.
Yeah, I mean, it's over here with it.
I mean, so it's a culture shock in that, to where you like, down.
They had it here, but there's like straight to it.
No, the level.
Yeah, yeah.
But the similarities are crazy also, because it seemed like a lot of people, family, grandparents,
parents, whatever, from the south came here in like in Pittsburgh.
So it's crazy how it's really not too different for us.
Like the Pittsburgh people versus the people down there, like, I'm trying to think
it right way to say it, but it's still like that southern feel.
If you, if you're someone's friend, like you're their friend, you know what I mean?
Like you're really their friend.
So and I was like, it's so weird.
It's like just, I don't, I don't really know how to describe how different and the same
it is sometimes, but like it's like nice ass people down there.
I mean, really nice, you know what I mean?
Yeah, over the top.
Yeah, yeah.
And then you got that.
Yeah, no doubt.
Yeah, no doubt.
Yeah, and then it's like the difference is the tone and the accents and that person
out there is a bit just sound like way more of a dead.
Because they got to accent.
Because of the accent.
Yeah, it's like just like per way funnier when he go through Starbucks because he got
the accent.
Yeah, it's been.
Yeah, it's been you have children.
Yes, I do.
How many kids you got?
I have three.
Three kids.
Boy and two girls.
Boy is 15.
Pray for me.
Pray.
Huh.
Two girls.
Two girls.
I know a picture you put up with your daughter recently.
She look, she looked like you.
She's insane.
You can tell.
She's a wild show daughter, daughter.
You baby.
You know, baby, the baby's the wild child.
She's two.
She's two.
She's the size of a seven year old.
Oh, wow.
Oh, yeah.
She's huge.
She, um, she's like, she's, she's the personality in the house right now.
Okay.
She running stuff.
She running.
She's running stuff.
Yeah.
I know the trick.
She checks on her brother and sister.
She knows like this morning.
She's like, you guys going to school?
Yeah.
All right.
I'll be here when you get back.
I'm going to go to school too.
Like, you know what I mean?
And they leave out the door.
I was like, you ready for school?
She's like, I don't want to do that.
I was like, yo.
What the heck?
You just told him you were ready to do school.
It's like, no, I was just saying that.
And it's just wild to see her personality and like how, how's like, yo, like you didn't
even know me, but so much of me transferring into you and your ways and the, you know,
I mean, the thing you do, like she gets mad and she was like, um, just start stomping the
swinging in the air or something.
And like I asked my lady something.
I was like, girl, can you like rub my belly or something like that?
She was like, no.
And I got mad and started stomping the swinging in the air and then it was like, oh, that
came for me.
Yeah.
That's where she's giving.
That's hilarious.
That's great.
That's messed up.
We got to watch.
You got to be careful.
Right?
You got to be careful.
And then when my son really got to watch, you know what I mean?
It's a teenager.
Um, now speaking of that teenager family, all that, you know, I know when we first hooked
up, we were talking about you were on tour.
You know, I think you went on the tour because you were cousins, family, bodyguard,
you know, to, uh, Wiz Khalifa.
Yeah, Wiz Khalifa.
So you guys are family, right?
We're off the whole tour is basically related some way.
There's two brothers.
There's no, there's two brothers.
There's two more brothers.
There's two cousins.
There's an uncle and an nephew.
That's all everybody.
That's all family.
That's all family.
And then we all grew up together on top of that.
That's tight.
Yeah, I mean, since like Superman, you're all out there.
Close.
That's how you want to roll.
Right.
So it's, it's crazy.
Like torn with us is different.
Cause you can see like it's like, oh, these, these, these are my, these are my
fucks.
It's like real family.
Right.
Oh, you coming with real love, real love.
I know you know, everybody's here.
Oh, yeah.
Everybody's here.
Everybody's here.
I ain't any give a time.
I'm like, Wiz is Wiz when camera is on.
Right.
It's time for him to be Wiz.
When camera's off.
It's got this little costume.
Yeah.
You want to fight?
Like, you know, I mean, all day like, uh, you know, we don't project that or whatever
because it's, uh, music is more, I mean, positive or whatever.
But like, no, yeah, we get it in, man.
We be backstage and now everybody trains.
So we got gloves everywhere.
Everybody trains.
Everybody trains.
Everybody.
Our whole tour, you come backstage.
It's kind of, other rappers when they're on tour with us, they'll come out, you know,
me and thing.
It's about to be like maybe a dice game or some shit like that.
They come out.
There's mats.
There's full story going on over here.
Yeah.
Wiz is over here, benching 300 pounds.
Fucking Chevy's over here.
Boxing, hitting mitts and stuff.
And then you got, um, like it's always active.
Then we got even our crew, love it.
People who built it.
You know, that's how we would be.
Yeah.
A lot of them, you'll find out like, damn, he's a purple belt, a gracing bar.
Oh, damn, this guy's a brown belt.
So now the stage crew, so as they don't want to stage, they coming out on the mat.
So we got our geese.
We got everything on the road.
And, uh, that's dope.
That is it.
And then if we're in the city, uh, nine times out of 10, there's a gym there.
And, you know, I mean, they come out if they can or we hurry up and go to, usually they
got to come out cause, um, we want to go to every gym in every city, but you want to
take about traffic.
No doubt coming back to the concert.
You know, I mean, you like, and you want a train like, we're always, we're just a train.
Like he wants to go somewhere and train, but then we'd be like, all right, we'll get
in the car and like, you're rapping.
You can't do that.
Yeah.
Like if you're not back in town, the show's messed up.
Right.
Right.
It ain't worse for us.
So we'll just start like calling trainers and trying to get people out.
Right.
And then we'll just schedule like when it was, you know, on, on fire, you know, for, for
you travel wise.
So travel wise, we usually gone, maybe three months come home straight, but yeah, three
months straight, three months straight.
Come home, come home, come home, come on, talk about the grind.
And then you got one off.
So those are the shows I went on tour for three months straight, but we got to show every
weekend.
Got you.
So now we get to do that.
So it's a three month straight.
And then we got the weekend shows and then Europe might book a tour for our month.
And then we got to go over there for a month.
Oh wow.
And, wow.
And then even while we were touring the last time, I was still doing the high roller things.
So I will tour show, show, show, fly off, do high rollers, hurry up and fly back.
Tour show, show.
Oh yeah.
I mean, come back.
That's the grind life right there.
Yeah.
Where's the, even though I was gone.
Where you go?
I was like, I was like, yeah, man.
So I'm going, I got you this from Denver.
It was like, I thought it was such a success.
I'm like, now I went to Denver.
He was like, you left who I'm like, yeah, man.
Like, damn, I thought I was important.
I didn't even know what's going on.
So y'all only go like, so y'all only do this off tour.
I mean, like whenever you're on tour, that's when you guys go and do the mass and everything.
But when you're off tour, you're not there.
What was?
Yeah.
Well, he's in LA.
My brother's out there winning the breeze.
Yeah.
Breeze is out there.
Shout out to breeze.
Breeze is out there winning the...
Older brother, younger brother.
Older brother.
So Breeze is out there winning all the time.
And I'm in my family's hair.
So, okay.
I mean, it's way cheaper to live here.
Yeah.
Big time.
Makes a lot more sense when I'm asking.
Big time.
Big time.
Way cheaper.
You know, what stands out.
You know, people, even with perms, it's like, oh man, you guys look like you have fun.
But when you really think about it, it's a grind.
It's a grind.
We on the road a lot.
And so for you, it's like, oh man, that would be cool.
You know, to be on tour, to be able to be with Wiz, to be able to do until you in it.
And then you like, man, we gone three months.
And we've been in it every weekend.
2011, 10, something like that.
That's the stuff people don't see.
Yeah, hell no.
They just see the shows and the...
That's the price that people don't see.
And then it's crazy.
Because if we do a show, say we do a show in Pittsburgh, now we all know what that's
about to be.
And if you've ever been backstage with us before Pittsburgh...
How's Wiz's work ethic?
He's probably in the studio right now.
Or...
Grindr.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's always doing something.
And he's like...
He's always trying to be ahead of the curve for us.
Like what's going on.
I was at next, okay?
Okay, vision.
Vision.
He was the first one on the little flip camera phones
who was doing the day-to-day in YouTube.
He was the one who was like...
Hey man, this shit called Twitter man.
Y'all should try to tell you what's going to do this
this and this.
I mean, we like, man, we gonna tweet this block.
Like we should try.
But he jumped on there and then went,
you know what I mean?
He knew what it was going to be.
So love it.
Yeah, he's always like trying to do it.
What do you think set him a part, you know,
because there's a lot of rappers.
Every hood there's rappers.
You good.
You know what I'm saying?
There's good ones.
That's the thing.
They're good.
What do you think separated him from what you know and see?
Was it was it?
Is this work ethic?
Was it not quitting?
What the hell separated?
Because I don't think it was just handed to him.
Time out work ethic.
A plan that was meant to be, you know what I'm saying?
The people behind him,
not pushing him to do something else for us.
Like yeah, your homies might be this type of way
but then you got to rap that type of way.
So it was all right to make the Alice DJ techno type tracks.
The say is, the black and yellows.
And you know what I mean?
I wrote love in the party songs.
Yeah.
And none of us are going to be like,
oh man, won't you?
I mean, I ain't what we've all done.
Yeah, no, I'm doing that shit.
Right.
So it was like, love.
It's not hate talking about wanting to want
what's best to let them be.
A lot of people might not know.
It's different between being a rapper
and a full-fledged entertainer.
He's an entertainer.
He sounds exactly the same one stage as he does on album.
You know what I mean?
And he shows,
he shows he's going to give you,
you know what I mean, everything in the show.
So he giving everything he got.
Everything.
Even though he on the road all the time,
he might have gave that a few on the road three months.
He said, he said, he said,
man, we'll be out there sick.
He got to drink all that damn tea,
and voice his messed up and...
He got to get out there and get it done.
And give it 110%.
Those are things that people don't see.
They don't, they just think you're like,
you can't belay, you can do it.
You can't make a song and do this.
Like, yo, I don't know how long it take to make a song
and then to get y'all to like the song.
Cause you know what I'm saying?
It's a lot that goes into that.
There's promo tours.
No one sees that when an album's coming down
or something,
we got to do what's called a promo run.
So we go from,
we'll hit the whole East Coast.
I mean, Boston, Philly, New York, Detroit.
I know it's more Midwest, but you know what I'm saying?
Now, whole, we'll hit all that Atlanta, Jersey,
going all the way down to Miami.
And that's a promo run where you gotta get up and fly
every day to each one of them places.
Every day.
Every day, get there, do the radio.
Dude, you usually do about six radio stations a day.
Draining.
I mean, yeah, sleep on the way there.
Eat on the way there.
Get your ass back to that hotel.
We usually shoot the shit for a little bit.
Show us sleep.
Back in four or five in the morning.
We in the hallway going to four or five o'clock
in the morning out the door.
Out the door.
Same thing the next day.
Same thing.
Back on the grind.
Back on the grind.
See his success leaves clues.
Whether, whether, whether it's business or this
or whatever, you gotta get up and get to grind it.
Get it up and get it up.
If you see somebody playing at a high level,
it didn't happen on accident.
You see somebody moving great on the mats.
Black belt beast, you know what I mean?
You know, work in time.
He put the time in.
He put the time in.
He put the work in.
And there ain't no, you get to skip that process.
You know what I mean?
If you skip that process, it's just me.
He was already headed to curve.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If you wanted on black belts,
he went from a 16 year old white belt to a black belt
at 18 because he was already doing what was needed to be.
You know what I mean?
Training already.
Yeah.
He was just getting up, putting the work in.
How do you like being a dad?
I love being a dad.
Being a dad is cool.
It gives me all the reason to not give a care about anything.
People would be like, yeah, this is like,
though, I'm a dad, I'm tired.
Taking my shoes off right here.
I'm a dad.
You know what I mean?
I have to do the dad lane, you get to lane.
Like, man, what?
Man, I got kids.
I got kids.
I got kids, man.
I got a family.
I love it.
I don't have a care.
I love air coverage.
I got kids, man.
I ain't got a care.
I'm stressed.
I love it.
They got haircuts, though.
Right.
They're good.
They're good.
No, they're representation of me and they're clean.
You know what I mean?
How do you explain to people, the sacrifice of,
I'm on tour, I got to run, I got to do high rollers.
I got to come back as a parent.
You know what I'm saying?
You can make it happen.
Same way you do it just to, once you comfortable
being miserable, it's just easy.
And the misery's not like, oh, man, it's like,
I missed my goddamn family.
Like I missed my kids.
Like, if you see me on Instagram,
we're gonna be a lot closer.
Right, you know what I mean?
I'm going to be a part of the time.
He said, just like Jiu Jitsu, you got to get comfortable
with being miserable.
Being miserable.
Understanding.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So what do you mean by that?
I can tell you exactly what I mean,
because I can tell you when I became comfortable
with being miserable in Jiu Jitsu.
I was in a tournament.
Some way, some, I went for some crazy move and messed up
and the guy got me a mount and he got me
a good mount to where his knees was in my armpits
and everything.
But then that wasn't the hard part.
His G slipped over my mouth and my nose
and I couldn't breathe.
You know what I mean?
And he was pressuring down.
So I'm like, oh, man, I felt my hand raised,
ready to tap and I was like, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Like hold on, just take a second.
I was just stopped.
I just gave him a slight push like that.
Boom, I just turned my head.
I'm like, oh, I can breathe.
I'm like, all right, bro, you got this.
Like just find your little comfort, take your time,
figure it out and then work for me.
And I ended up tapping it.
I mean, so yeah, definitely.
Wow, love it.
So how did you apply that to life?
Just take your time and find a way to breathe.
You know what I'm saying?
No matter how much you feel like he's constricting
whatever, even like how these masks on us right now.
And every once again, you just got to stop turning your head,
pull it down, take a breath and get back to it.
Yeah.
And I mean, so comfortable being uncomfortable.
You can come to him in miserable.
Because that's how you grow.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
You got to do what you got to do for the family.
Absolutely.
You know what I mean?
You got to go to work.
So what's one common myth about your profession that you like to say
is like, you know, that ain't the real deal.
All bodyguards are not tough and they cannot do what you think they can do.
That's the real, right?
Yeah.
That's the one.
And the second one is this one is for you bodyguards.
Half of y'all caused a problem.
You don't have to be a dick all the time.
You don't have to be turned up all the time.
Okay.
Giving them some bodyguard wisdom.
I feel like a real good word.
Okay.
So you can go out there and not have to cause drama.
Where's can go places?
The toughest rappers in the world can't go all because of respect.
You know what I'm saying?
Right.
It's because it's security or bodyguards.
Ain't dicks.
We grew up in the shifte realm.
We know how to move.
Yeah.
I mean, so if I'm like I said, if you come to our neighborhood and you know, I mean,
you're gonna have to be a wolf and you lump that one time.
Pray.
You know what I mean?
So we know to move with respect in every neighborhood, everywhere.
Favellas, South Central, Detroit, whatever side it is.
Miami.
You know what I mean?
ATL, Boston, name and rough place.
We can move there very well.
Mexico, Juarez, Psh.
We can keep going.
You know what I mean, Turkey.
Why do you think that is?
And I mean internationally and that's because we always let with respect, always let
with respect.
Give respect to get respect.
Yeah.
I said my energy.
I want to give merit energy.
So if you give me that energy, like truth, you know, I mean, like good energy, whatever
you want.
Get great energy for me.
If you give me weird energy, I'm beside you a lot.
Like, you know what I mean?
And I want to people's hard for me to fake face it and just be like, oh yeah, man, you know
I mean, you're like, you're gonna see me looking at you like, man, something ain't right.
I can't hold it.
I'm probably going to say I'm like, yo, what's up with you?
Yeah.
Eventually, but you know what I mean?
Yes.
Yeah.
Being real.
Yeah.
Tell us about the, I love the, the name.
I love what it is.
What you're doing.
What you got going on.
Tell us about the high rollers tournament company.
High rollers tournament.
Oh, so the high rollers tournament is a Brazilian, a Jiu-Jitsu tournament infused with
cannabis.
And what I mean by that is, it's basically trying to, we're breaking that stigma of lazy
people smoke weed and don't do anything and don't get nothing done.
Like I got a shirt on right now.
Another little saying I came up with, but it says active stoner and like, that's all
high rollers trying to show like, for sure.
I heard you know what I'm saying?
We can smoke and we got high level athletes here.
You know what I'm saying?
They will dog you and guess what?
They just high level athletes while smoking weed, which means they can't be lazy.
They put in the work and you know, I mean, to get here.
And if you ever watched it, it's some great Jiu-Jitsu.
Matter of fact, it just aired Saturday night was on Pluto TV.
Are they mostly always in Vegas?
Right now from now on, they're always going to be in Vegas.
Right.
I have my own venue there now.
My own high rollers headquarters.
Matt's, I got, I was blessed.
Congratulations.
That's sick.
I was blessed to get my favorite thing.
I got Kimbo's Laces Cates.
So I got a Cog.
That's dope.
That's dope, that's dope.
That's great.
So I just had a roll off in his case to see who could roll the best.
And you win the 10 years of play papers.
Wow.
Where'd you see a Vibes?
So shout out the Vibes, Barner Cookies, Icy Mike for the Kays, Kimbo's Kays.
That's a partner of Mighty Matt and Kays, man.
When I first was rolling with you and you telling me about what you had going on and where
you were at with it, I've seen, you've had a lot of growth over the last few years,
a lot of growth.
Definitely.
And when I seen it, I'm like, I'm like, bro, you own something, bro.
This is going to blow.
Yeah, I'm going to tell you that.
This is about to blow.
You know what I mean?
Because I knew it.
And then to watch you, you know, even in the short period of time, I've known you, watch
you elevate that thing and get momentum with it and all that out has been special.
How long you've been training, Jiu-Jitsu?
I've been training Jiu-Jitsu for four years now.
I've been training Jiu-Jitsu for three years because that 2020, I feel like that don't count.
Yeah, that was a red shirt here, right there.
That was a red shirt for you.
That was a red shirt, man.
But, yeah, ain't way too good.
I bet you did.
I wasn't like good Jiu-Jitsu shape before this.
Now, I'm like, you saw cut up.
I got kids.
Here you go.
That's it.
You was a dad.
That's all the dad, boy.
Go on, man.
I got kids.
You know what I mean?
So they like chucky cheese and pizzas.
I got a, man.
Have some with them.
Yeah, I got to show them how you do it.
This how you eat it.
This how you eat this.
And I've ripped this thing.
Yeah.
I ain't dunking one time in the oven.
Two pizzas.
Make like a sandwich.
Sam, making a sandwich with the pizza dog.
And any pizza.
There you go.
You ain't 340 on accident.
That takes some effort.
Oh, no.
It took a lot of effort to get here.
And a beautiful woman.
Oh, you got to get a real beautiful woman.
How long have you been together?
Ooh.
Long time.
That's a writer.
I'm at her and I am great.
That's a writer.
I'm out of her hand.
If as soon as I meet somebody that tells me they're doing the work that you're doing, putting
into work to have a high rollers, to do what you do, I'm already, if you've been with
that person that long, you got a real star at home.
Because you can't do this.
You can't live that life.
You can't do it.
But if you out here hunting and on the grind and then you come home and you got to fight
because you went to work, you can't function that way.
There's no way.
So as soon as you told me, you've been with her for a long time and that's a special chick
right there.
And set out to her because she, I mean, she busts her ass on her and hold down home and
doing what she do that allows me to be able to do it the hell I can do.
True.
And so definitely big.
I tell cats, man, that are in business.
You know, young cats coming up and they're like, man, what piece of advice can you, you
can give me?
And man, one of the ones that I give them that's rare that most people won't tell them is
in the first couple, I start telling them the woman that you choose to be with, maybe
one of the most important decisions that you make in your business life and in your life
in general.
Because there's no way you can move and do the things that you're doing and have home
life be okay.
If she's, can't hold it down.
She's not strong.
She's, you know, mad at you.
You know what I mean?
Constantly.
Because you got to do what you got to do for the family.
That's a special, but you know, I'm saying who's mad that they're doing more than what
they're doing.
No doubt.
And I've seen, man, I'm like, man, that's not even how that's supposed to be.
Right.
At all.
Right.
That's not it.
Right.
You supposed to be like, all right, he's busting his ass right now.
So once he get in, then, you know what I mean?
I know he's good.
Right.
I think so.
That's how I'm just like, sounds like she's been an anchor.
Yeah.
I was going to ask you, you know, who's the three most important or most influential people
made influence on you in your life?
Oh, she's one of them because she's been through a lot personally and she's had kids.
Y'all don't know, man.
The women, man, shout out to y'all.
Right.
It's hard.
Yeah, it's hard.
Literally, I sit there.
I'd be like, man, women tough as hell, man.
It's real.
Like, that's a person.
What if you on the road and she, and she got, and she got kids during those sick days?
Ain't no sick days.
You got to find a way to get up and go to work.
For real.
That's crazy.
For real.
Yeah.
No sick days.
And like I said, her, what she's been through and how strong she is to get through the
stuff.
You know what I mean?
This times when I'm like, you know, you know this, but business, sometimes you get
them times when you be like, man, I don't know about this shit.
I'm ready to, man, I want the car ray ray.
You know what I mean?
Get my ass back.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Like, no, man, it's just the rough day.
You'll be like, like, suck it up.
I'm like, all right, cool.
That's what I need.
Yeah.
I just need a dad right now.
You know it's like, oh, it's time.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Quit whining.
Just chill.
You had a rough day.
It was one rough day.
There's a whole another day coming up.
Love it.
Just chill out.
Positive.
Well, partner.
Anybody else have influence on you?
Oh, man.
There's a lot of guys who influence on me.
A lot of the older guys, you know what I mean?
I grew up with.
Like I said, they were never, never the do's who'd be like, and they were, you know what
I mean?
Like, they were dumb dudes.
Getting it in.
Yeah, man.
Getting it in.
Dumb dudes.
I'm talking my feet probably killing them.
Right.
Stepping.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, and.
They never ever was like, yo, it's corny for you to like Steve Irwin and the animal planet.
Yo, it's corny for you to like the X-Men.
Right.
You should be out here being tough or you know, about the X-Men.
Hell, no, they'll never do that talking about the X-Men, bro.
You know what I mean?
They like, oh, that must be your favorite character.
No, he's not.
No.
No.
No.
Who is?
I mean, I, I'm gonna see that the whole time.
We going Avengers, Marvel, we going like, Marvel's.
Saber Tooth.
Okay.
Saber Tooth.
What about Avengers?
Avengers?
Hulk.
Okay.
Why?
Because Hulk is just, not even that.
Honestly, Hulk is all of us, but he's free about it.
Right.
When he get mad, he just snap out and throw somebody across the world.
You know what I mean?
He just don't hold it in.
So, you know what I mean?
He can just be himself and then, and then, and then, and then go back to Bruce.
Right, like I'm fine.
I mean, like, damn, I need to get in this car and chill out Bruce.
Yeah.
I'm gonna chill.
You cutting Marvel's truck.
You motherfucking open the door.
Hulk.
Throw your car.
I'm gonna call it.
That's everybody for real.
We're just not gonna pull him over and chill him go.
Yeah, just letting me be, man.
But, uh, yeah.
So, Saber Tooth and Hulk.
Yeah.
And, uh, the Joker.
Oh.
Shhh.
The Joker.
Why?
Why the Joker?
I don't know why we got it.
I just want to know.
Same thing as Hulk.
Yeah.
He's just so.
Just like that.
That's cool.
Just like for you.
Yeah, man.
It's like, because I can't, I'm always mean.
Like, I can't, um, like, even that would be a high score or whatever.
I was never to do.
Like, I never knew I was a cool person.
Like a cool kid or whatever.
Like, I didn't know that.
I just thought it was cool.
Like, I like hanging with everybody.
Like literally, you catch me hanging out with a couple of kids in the special needs classes.
Because I was tired to go fuck with them for a second.
You know what I mean?
I mean, no talking to them see what they got going on down here.
And shit, they used to love just talking.
You know what I mean?
So therefore, if I'm down there, all my homies from the hood
is gonna be down there.
So now they're down there.
You know what I mean?
We just bustin' up with the kids in the special niece,
actually, you know what I mean, boom.
Now, lunchtime, I'm over here with all my Jewish homies.
You know what I mean?
We just talking.
You had some Jewish?
You had some Jewish homies.
I want the older nice man.
Okay.
I want the older nice in the middle of school.
They'll teach you how to work.
They teach me how to hold them money.
There you go.
They teach me how to take a dollar and only spend a quarter.
The rest of that's going on.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
The rest of that go to the bank.
But speaking of that, what would you say is one of the biggest
lessons you've learned in life?
Honestly, the biggest lesson I learned in life
is that it can be over in the heartbeat.
So you gotta like really just live it, man.
Like you can stress about everything,
but you can step off the curve, get a hit,
you can choke on the piece of gum.
And you was just stressing about something
that don't even matter anymore at all.
You know what I mean?
Right.
The biggest thing in life for me is just trying to figure out
your way of finding like your happiness and enjoying it
as much as you can.
Like whatever it is, you could just love fishing.
Go fishing.
You like fishing on a lake?
Try fishing on the ocean.
You won't love it even more.
You gotta go into ocean, because me, I'm a doc dude.
I'm not the ocean as God's baseman.
I don't even know what he got down there.
I'm cool with that.
I'm cool.
I'm cool with that.
I'm cool with that.
I'm cool with that.
I'm cool with that.
I'm cool with that.
I'm cool with that.
I'm cool with that.
I'm cool with that.
I'm cool with that.
Why don't you tell the story about you and the ocean brother?
Man, it was a bad two-hour terminal perm before you started.
Yeah.
You gotta understand us guys, we got an agreement with gravity
and water.
Oh man.
That's what they want to do.
They want to play with sharks and stuff.
They want to grab them.
No, not that one.
What's going on?
On the jet skis.
Oh, come on brother.
Oh, come on brother.
Give it to me.
All right, so years ago, man, I was 16 years old.
Me and my brother, he wanted to go take these jet skis out.
I'm like, all right, come on.
Let's go.
I'm big, he big.
He was bigger.
I was bigger.
He was bigger.
So I'm right.
I'm throwing in.
You know what I'm saying?
We're buying good, everything's going good.
He want to be at the food on it.
He's going trying to jump away.
I'm right.
I'm like, oh, cool.
So he jumps away.
Next you know, he's off, man.
So he falls off.
He can't get up.
He's begging.
Help me.
Help me.
I'm like, all right, I'm going to go over there.
Let me try to help him a little bit.
Not even thinking.
Not even getting myself in.
And the nice guy that you are.
All right, trying to help.
A fellow man, right?
Knowing that it tells, you know, we didn't.
It me it tells.
I'm trying to pull him out.
He's pulling me in.
Pull him out.
He's pulling me in.
I try to, now the last time I pulled, he pulled me in that.
Now we both in the ocean, bro.
With sharks, I got a cut.
I can get cut.
I got a cut.
I can't get on.
I can't get, I can't get, keep flipping.
I'm going to get me out of here.
Keep flipping.
He's dead.
Now he's down.
He gets back on his.
That's what I get saved by.
The police.
Police came to my rescue.
And I had a warrant.
I had a warrant.
That's the one thing he's brought.
I got a warrant saved me.
No, I was like, what's your name?
I gave him one letter off.
And I was like, I'm cool.
Yeah, never go just clean again.
Oh, man.
It's hard to get on them things, man.
Now what happened with the deep sea fishing?
Oh, I got sick on that thing.
We went out and that's like 20, 30 miles out.
Two hours in.
Two hours in.
Two hours in.
I mean, sorry.
Two hours out.
Why.
They won't catch fish.
I mean, I'm sorry for you.
I mean, I'm sorry for you.
I mean, I'm sorry for you.
But I'm sorry for you.
I'm sorry for you.
I'm sorry for you.
really deep bro.
They were catching.
Look, so why don't you see the light part and go dark?
That's deep enough.
I don't have to go happy, but they just want to do it.
Man, the things rocking is going like this.
They're like, yeah, sorry.
I'm like, oh, Lord.
Oh, I'm trying to calm back.
They were just picking them up.
He got a shark.
Well, hell the shark.
They didn't want to hold sharks.
I just, it ain't even like the fishing or nothing.
It's just being that far in the world.
I mean, just imagine.
Yeah, I don't like to get in myself.
Like that's what I'm, yeah, I don't, I'm, that's a little bit.
Speaking of one letter off, you know, lawn for a hundred bucks.
Yeah.
Could you guess big palms real name?
Three guesses.
Oh, you know, no, no, no, no, no, no, tipping them off.
Three guesses for a hundred bucks.
Stacey.
I like it.
Stacey, that's what up.
I'll be in Cali a lot.
Oh, man.
Two more.
You can't give them no, just letting rock with it.
Calvin?
No.
Come on, remember, start bucks.
Remember Starbucks.
One.
Good one.
Close.
We don't keep this going.
Not go, don't give it, give it one more.
Okay.
Oh, man.
We're gonna give them that.
We're gonna give it, we gotta give them that.
We gotta give them that.
Four tries, but I mean, within four to get to Jose, that was good, bro.
That was good.
Put that kid, the kids piggyback or something, you know what I'm saying?
That was good.
He's the only one that ever got it.
Yeah, oh yeah.
Here you go, baby.
Oh, here.
What is your real name?
My real name?
Yeah.
It's so complicated, but what does it say, Lonnie?
Lonnie?
Yeah.
Lonnie.
What's your real name, man?
No, it's like real, real.
How do you say it?
Lonnie.
That's what song you like?
Oh, your birth certificate?
That's on birth certificate and stuff.
We'll talk about the other stuff when no one is like, I don't know who's watching.
Oh!
Oh, Larry!
Yeah.
Oh, that's great.
I got you.
We got you out here.
I don't think nobody ever even knew your name for like 30 years, Doc.
It was crazy, I was asking you that, because my dad's Cuban.
I wanted to know you can teach me how to speak Spanish.
Oh yeah.
I'm not good at it.
That gave it away when they kept saying, you know what I'm saying, things Spanish.
Yeah.
No, no, no, no, no.
You don't want to know what gave it away?
What?
Yeah, I knew I knew I was tipping you off. I said now think about Starbucks cuz even speak is Spanish
I was like you were gonna go way off. Oh no
He started it Stacy and ended in Jose listen here's what to get turned around
We got a quick giving tips cuz next time we gotta think of they can really get it. I keep forgetting y'all ain't from from the bird
Right now I'm from here. Yeah, from here. I'm looking at you. You just look like I'm making from homewood right right
I had a look at where's he from I'm from homewood. Yeah, so I'm like I
Where's the
Long-long Puerto Rico brother from from
If we hit my head again like oh he's not friend. Oh, he's the many kinners. Oh, nothing like yeah
I would start going with some poppy name
I'm telling you I would have got it. I would have got it within two tracks right guarantee
I'm really good at guessing random shit. I don't know why what speaking of speaking of
Random shit. What's what's the number one quality that you see in people that you gravitate towards?
Them being able to be around people
Being able to be around other people like if you got that
It it takes something to have that to
Genuinely have it and I mean like genuinely being able to be around people like being able to
Walk in the room and
Just say how the way you say how to make everybody look on like oh man to go my man right there like you know
I mean that right there once you have my art cool like he
He has something that's like, you know, I mean it brightens the day that or yeah, yeah, or cool dude
Exactly like
Because it like far as even like business or something like that even
Even guys who people might look at us a bad guy, you know, I mean mechanics. We'll say that even certain mechanics
They could still be a good person. Yeah, you know, I'm saying it's just that's what they're good at
Yeah, I mean for bad mechanic in a good person. Yeah
That's bad bad. Just don't I like you. Yeah, but you can't work on my car anymore
Every time I bring this thing is not milk broke Johnny. Yeah, you know, I'm saying man. I like coming to talk
Yeah, no, I just want to chill with you. Just come there for your spark plug to get changed. That's it
That's it and and he he changed that spark plug and brighten everything back up
I mean good don't let him start fixing the brakes. Oh
Put your life in his hands
Go wrong what happened I came up with brakes now my journey gone. I can't move. What are you gonna get that spark plug right?
You can be firing up. Oh, that thing started like a beauty, huh?
Right. Yeah, there you go. I know them. I know them. Yeah, that's it. You gotta be able to um
Get your gotta be right. I'm like
It's weird to say but I'm kind of like like my dogs like how
When if my dogs look at you a certain way or something and I've never been around you
It really make me be like 100% what's the dog
My dog ain't never been wrong before like it's a couple people my dog snap at I
Some wrong
Like that's where it happens. That's where it starts
Yeah, that's why even from being around outcali and stuff like I know
When random people coming in your house like from being out there in the jobs side of the security thing
Don't let nobody just start looking around like this like out there
They're not looking to see if your house is nice. They're looking for cameras right
Show looking for cameras are trying to see if there's a safe behind the picture and stuff like that so yeah, it's like
It's so crazy like how you gotta be and that's what I mean like I
Like you feel that like when you come in the house like it's up you better look at the pictures or you're gonna look for camera right yeah
Six cents. Yeah street smarts. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, where it comes from yeah definitely
So so how would somebody go about our listeners?
Somebody that wants to follow you to high rollers and everything that you do how would they be able to connect with you on
social media stuff like that so
Mostly all platforms Twitter and Instagram
Just big long for one to be a G hello and M412
two ends to it. Yes, and Instagram my high rollers page is HR BJJ
So it's just short for high rollers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and oh
Yeah, you also can follow me on long with hello and NW I see see I got my own hemp whip coming out now
Set it's actually developed to look like a yo-yo and behind that is a lot of people don't know
Hold on to something hold on to some of the cool something to collect. Yeah, I mean in this is you actually it's a real yo-yo after you get you know
I mean, but
The real thing is that using a lighter you use the you use the wig the wig
Cleaner healthier exactly and not supposed to inhale a blue and orange flame
Right, you know, I mean like that's not that's not supposed to be in here and when you inhale that it's a high heat flame
So it's burning real hot
Terps and everything get burnt off taste the flavor it changes instantly and that gas and already went all the way through your
Whatever you're smoking. So it's going to be there a hole entire way now you take this hemp wick you light it
Gas burns off instantly boom is gone you light it
You'll literally look at the same thing you been smoking on day like well hold on man like what was this?
This tastes way better than whatever and it's
Because you're using the um hemp wick you lighten them with a hundred percent hemp. It's a low temp flame
Terps is burning right on flavors right tastes right and um oh
Then I was saying like I made it a yo-yo a lot of people may not notice but
A yo-yo was one of the first weapons in close quarter combat. So
Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, so if you like had a knife or something
You know, I mean, I didn't want you to stab me my distance weapon will be a yo-yo wow breaking nose drop whatever
Get behind your neck
Pop them in the nose get it back
Choking with the yo-yo, so you're giving them something to hurt somebody so therefore
And then you know, I mean it all plays because I train you know, I'm saying I was like long
John Wick, John Wick.
So just like, no, I mean, John Wick.
Okay, I got you.
I see it.
It's mad as it spelled different.
And, you know what I mean?
And if it really went down,
John getting smoked, bro.
What?
That's John Quidd.
Yeah, John.
What John got in purple belt?
I don't know.
I think he's a purple belt.
Is he?
I think so.
Okay.
Is it brown belt?
We talking about John Wick from the movie?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Come on.
I'm saying you gonna beat him?
Oh yeah.
Oh, I like to see this, John.
Long Wick.
Well, man, John Wick.
